As program manager of several fuel cell development programs, Mr. Clark has pioneered many innovative techniques and systems. Mr. Clark developed a closed-loop energy storage system using electrolyzer and fuel cells that operated autonomously for extended periods. Mr. Clark was also the Principal Investigator for a DARPA program to develop high power fuel cell systems for a stratospheric airship. These power systems will employ closed-loop regenerative storage and a supplemental primary power system using liquid Hydrogen and compressed air to feed fuel cells. Mr. Clark and his team are currently designing and building the power and energy storage system for the ISIS high altitude airship. Mr. Clark was recently awarded a US patent for an electrochemical inert removal system for fuel cell power systems, mission, and delivered a breadboard to support end-to-end ISPP system testing in the Mars ISRU Systems Technologies (MIST) facility at JSC. Mr. Clark is currently the Program Manager for a NASA program to extract oxygen from Lunar soil. Mr. Clark holds several patents in the field including those covering cryogenic CO2 Compression and the common-bulkhead cryogenic storage tank.
