Robert T. (Bo) Marlin is a member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Level Career Service and serves as the Technical Advisor for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Capabilities and Integration as well as the Deputy Director of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Capabilities; Deputy Chief of Staff , Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Headquarters United States Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Th e directorate is comprised of over 80 military, civilian, and contractor personnel who provide functional and program management of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs and projects involving the expenditure of some $4 billion annually. Major programs include the RC-135, U-2, Predator, Global Hawk, F-16 TARS, Distributed Common Ground System, Cobra Dane, Cobra Judy, and a variety of unit-level intelligence systems. Mr. Marlin is also responsible for developing and advocating Air Force policy on HUMINT, GEOINT, MASINT, and SIGINT; and represents the Air Force on ISR matters in discussions with Congress, the Intelligence Community, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff , and the other Services.

Mr. Marlin served in the USAF from 1978 to 2007 and is a retired Colonel. While on active duty, he served as an Electronic Warfare Officer and accumulated over 3,800 flight hours in all models of the RC-135. He also commanded the 45th Reconnaissance Squadron, 543d Intelligence Group, Medina Regional Security Operations Center and was the Vice Commander of the 67th Information Operations Wing. He completed his active duty service as the Director of ISR Capabilities at the Pentagon.
